Action Replayy is an upcoming film directed by Vipul Shah and stars Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Neha Dhupia and Randhir Kapoor (what? Yes, Randhir Kapoor). Apparently based off a Gujarati play, the film centers around time-traveling. Mmm... the only thing reeling me is that it stars Aishwarya and it kind of falls under the "period film" category. Shah, who has a serious Akshay fixation, brought us films like Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London, and London Dreams. The only film out of those I really loved was Aankhen... maybe this film could end his bad streak. When I say 'bad streak' I mean bad streak with me because I believe Waqt and Namastey London were successful though I can't really imagine why.

That's because it SEEMS(to me at least), you're anti-Katrina. And I would watch this movie on a pirated dvd at home.
ReplyDeleteHaha guilty as charged, but I don't let that taint my opinion on a movie as a whole cause I really want to watch Rajneeti. Also, Waqt had my current-favorite Priyanka Chopra AND Shefali Shah but I still didn't like it so it's not just the Katrina bias.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by the plot...and the fact that Aish agreed to do what's most likely to be a chichora movie (I assume this only because of the cover and Akshay's involvement). Wasn't Aankhen based on a Gujarati play as well? Maybe there's hope.
