Promos, Trailers and Friends

Wohoo! The first teaser of KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK finally dropped!

A little birdie tells me (and I do mean that almost literally because I'm referring to Twitter) that Karsh Kale is helping with the background score! Along with Midival Punditz and Farhan Akhtar. If you're in the dark about who Karsh Kale and Midival Punditz are, they're both amazing fusion artists. I can't express how soulful and soothing their music is so I'm going to leave you with this video I stumbled upon with both of them performing at The Paleo Festival in Geneva. You're seriously in for a treat:

If you're curious, the soundtrack is being directed by the Amar Akbar Anthony of music Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

Another promo for Rann has been released. This one's a song promo titled "Vande Mataram":

I know I'm supposed to feel really empowered by this, but the only thing that really intrigues me in this entire mess of a trailer is Riteish. The rest of it is so stereotypical Ram Gopal Varma that I've become immune to it. You?

  1. Dang, Farhan is so EFFING HOTT!!!! I love him and I am super excited for this movie...looks really good...and seems like Deepika is improving...and dang...the MUSIC aaaaaaaahhhhh they r sooo goooooooddddddd man....i lovvvve itt...and Shankar Ehsan Loy r just amazing...i have really high hopes for this soundtrack

yeah the rann trailer is totally typical...ritesh looks good...hoping for great things from him...and yaay my VAIO is in there...well except mine is white lol =P

  2. You and Zafar laughed at me the other day for (jokingly-ish) confessing my suspicion that I have slightly clairvoyant tendencies. This revelation about Karsh Kale contributing to the background score bolsters my claims. JUST yesterday, I was thinking to myself, "Wouldn't it be amazing if one of my most favorite, if not absolute favorite, artists, Karsh Kale, composed the score for a Bollywood film?" And now it's truth. Huzzah. My other fantasy is a Karsh Kale + A.R. Rahman (my other top artist) collaboration...not that I'm complaining, ShankEhsLoy are talented. Midival Punditz are pretty frackin' skilled as well, I've always been a fan. Can't wait for this movie, aside from just the music genius involved.

P.S. I don't know why, but Deepika's voice hits mine ears the wrong way, but not so wrong I resent her for it. Confuzzled? It's too hard to explain.
